Most frequently asked questions and answers
The great thing about our program is, the earlier you get started, the better your long term results!
We have children in our programs that started as early as 3 or 4 years old, but since children develop at different rates the best (and really ONLY) way to see if your child is ready for our program is to take advantage of one of our WEB SPECIALS and try it for yourself!
No. In fact, quite the opposite!
Children are exposed to HUGE amounts of simulated (and real) violence on video games, television, movies, the internet and other media outlets.
But in our (unique) program, we teach students real, practical, effective non-violent conflict resolution techniques and tactics that can defuse the situation before it escalates to violence. AND ALSO escape techniques and tactics that event ‘smaller’ people can use to move to safety if approached by a potentially dangerous situation.
Should your child be confronted with an aggressive situation that can’t be resolved peacefully, or escaped from, he or she will also then have the basic martial arts skills to defend themselves.

Martial arts students benefit from increased physical fitness and mental focus.
The focus on self-discipline, respect, self-confidence, and perseverance in the face of setbacks builds character in students young and old. Our students also join a community of people who share an interest in martial arts, improving their own way of life, and making a positive contribution in the community.
We know how busy your life is as a parent, so our program is designed so that students can make exciting progress by attending classes an average of twice a week.
Some students will want to attend more classes, and that’s great, we have options for that!
Really, the only way to know if our program is a good fit for you and/or your family is to try it for yourself!

Each student’s progress isn’t measured against other students, but rather against their own previous performance!
So even students that aren’t as physically fit as the star quaterback on the football team, can have a wonderful experience in our program, and become stronger, fitter and more flexible.

Now over 5 years later we have one that earned a black belt and one that has earned red double stripe. I have introduced several sports to my children including: soccer, swimming, baseball, football and even dance. They have chosen to stick with taekwondo. Master Arkadiy does not only teach kicks and punches but about respect and curtesy. If you child is not respecting their teachers in school or behaving at home they will not advance to the next belt. Master Arkadiy will sit down with your child and make sure that they know and practice the tenets of Taekwondo. In addition kids will learn about hard work and perseverance for archiving goals and that there is always room for self-improvement. All this leads to grater self-confidence in their life and great character building. All the staff at Taekwondo Elite are well qualified and great role models. My kids think of all of them as family. They look forward to their classes each week.

Nora Vi2020-10-15I have been with Master Arkadiy and instructor Amanda for almost two years. It is a totally different level of black belt experience. I have learned to be disciplined and respectful. At the same time, I have gained a lot of confidence through tournaments and other competitions. Master Arkadiy encourages and guides us in every single competition so that we are not afraid and well prepared. Master Arkadiy and Amanda are kind and they love their kiddos. They make sure we perform our forms right and execute our punches and kicks correctly. I have made a lot of friends here and I am having an amazing time. It is a very challenging time to everyone during the pandemic, however, I still enjoy my time with my Master and instructors through virtual training. It is so nice that Master Arkadiy's school provides hybrid and virtual so that we can choose to learn at home or to be in school.
